Seminar on Employment Law Updates

Finger Lakes East JSEC Presents our second 2018 Seminar:

What Every Employer Needs to Ask:

Employment Law Updates:
including NYS Sexual Harassment policies for Employers

Discussion Highlights:

  • What changes in employment law should your company be aware of?

  • How is your sexual harassment policy and does it meet the new state requirements?

  • Updates on the NYS Paid Family Leave program?

Guest Speaker:

Scott P. Rogoff,
Partner at Barclay Damon, LLP.

Scott Rogoff is a Rochester native who has been representing companies, not-for-profit corporations, and individuals involved in civil litigation for nearly 20 years. He focuses his practice in the areas of labor and employment law, and health care controversies.

Scott began his legal career as an associate with a small, general practice firm in Boston, where he had the invaluable opportunity to work in a variety of legal areas, including family law, corporate law, criminal law, real estate, labor and employment, and civil litigation. Scott took his first court-ordered deposition one hour after he was sworn in to the Massachusetts Bar, and took his first case to trial less than six months later. Among the many skills Scott developed and honed as a small-firm associate, was the ability to recognize a client’s need, and then work with the client in a pragmatic approach to achieve positive results – an approach Scott continues to believe in and employ every day.
